Nordic in the 1950s
Cross-country skiing was practiced by a small band of high school, prep school and college ski teams in the 1950s. USEASA nordic training camps were held each year, headed by the nordic coaches of Dartmouth, Kimbal Union Academy, Vermont Academy, Kent's Hill School, and The Putney School. Outside of these camps, there was scant attention paid to cross-country skiing by ski journalists before the 1960s.
